It's been ages since we added anything...we've been SOOOO busy! A strange couple of months- September was busy, busy, busy- shows in the heat, lots of stuff to make, and even a weekend trip to L.A.! All in preparation for our favorite time of year- HALLOWEEN! And also typically our busiest! We had a number of shows to kick off "Show season": *August was the close of our participation in the summer musical "FIDDLER ON THE ROOF" (we are both musicians too!). *1st weekend of September was our long-running favorite show in La Mesa (The Home Décor, Gift, & Craft Show). *2nd weekend, the show at the Pacific Beach Library, with lots of wind and waaaaay too much sun! Then our all-time favorite, WHIMSIC ALLEY! A nice stay in a hotel, shopping at the Grove (you're never too old to visit the American Girl Store!), Lunch at Canter's, and a trip to the Fashion District to stock up on Faux Fur! And then, the oddest thing...NO SHOWS for 3 weeks! How did THAT happen? Our busiest time of year, but no place to sell ur wares? Seems that the October shows from the past either changed their dates or closed shop! Hmmmm... Thank goodness for Etsy! Plenty of customers managed to find us online and fill their Halloween Costume needs, and Halloween week, we were back at it...with THREE SHOWS DURING ONE WEEK! Under the circumstances, we decided to give some small shows a chance, and the gamble paid off! In one week, we sold at "Hot Rodz & Betties Hair Garage"- now on of our favorite hair salons!- then at the Hilltop Elementary Fall Festival (sold lots of goodies, but most notably 23 hair bows in an hour!), then on to the Santee Coffee Corner. With that whirlwind of activity, we've just realized we spent a little TOO much time thinking about Halloween, and now we're straight on to making CHRISTMAS goodies to share...better get making that list and checking it twice! Enjoy a slide show of what we've been up to since the summer....
